Smoking Ban at Fort Lee Outdoor Restaurants

Fort Lee, New Jersey officials have recently passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking in Fort Lee's outdoor restaurants and cafes.

Under this new ordinance, no-smoking signs must be clearly posted at outdoor restaurants and cafes in Fort Lee and indicate that violators are subject to a fine. Violators will have to pay a minimum of  $250 for a first offense, $500 for a second offense and $1,000 for subsequent offenses.

Fort Lee borough officials banned smoking at all public parks and recreational facilities and imposed similar fines for such violations back in May of 2014.
