In what has now become an annual tradition, the Bergen Catholic Crusader Football program recently made a generous donation towards cancer research, thanks in part to the proceeds raised during their annual “Pink Out Game” which this year was held as part of their October 3rd home game against Paramus Catholic.
The BC Football program raised $4,500 and will be donating $3,000 to The Leslie Simon Breast Center at Englewood Hospital in addition to making a $1,500 donation to the American Cancer Society. These donations came courtesy of a 50/50 raffle during the October 3rd game, as well as from the sale of BC Football & Cheer “pink apparel” leading up to the game during the 2015 Bergen Catholic Homecoming Weekend in Oradell.
This marks the sixth season under head coach Nunzio Campanile that the BC Football program has helped raise awareness for breast cancer research by donning pink apparel during their games, while also conducting several fundraisers within the BC school community to help raise money for cancer research.
