Spring 2024 Hours and Train and Carousel Rides

Beginning April 1, the Bergen County Zoo is open daily, weather permitting, from 10:00 am-4:30 pm, and general admission rates apply. Prior to April 1, zoo hours are 10:00 am-3:30 pm and admission is free. The train and carousel are opening soon.

Special Events at the Bergen County Zoo

Registration is Open for Bergen County Zoo Summer Camp 2024 

The Bergen County Zoo Summer Camp offers an extraordinary adventure for young explorers, ages 3-17, featuring a variety of age-appropriate activities. Campers will enjoy up-close animal encounters, games, hands-on science projects, crafts, zoo tours, and plenty of educational fun!

Camps run June-August. Sign up for one week or multiple weeks.

Should you get hungry or thirsty during your trip to the Zoo, carts offering food and drink are conveniently located at the entry plaza and other locations throughout the park. Additional food services are available during the summer.

The Zoo’s general store/gift shop is on the entry plaza. Call 201-634-3100, ext. 3117, for current store hours.

Restrooms are located in the Farmyard and inside the Education Discovery Center.

Stroller rentals are available at the general store.

Wild Attractions at the Bronx Zoo provides an opportunity for animal lovers to see the Zoo from behind the scenes. This includes up-close live encounters with Zoo staff and animals.
