5th Annual "Jazz Under the Stars" Begins June 22 at Englewood Public Library

The Englewood Public Library will present its 5th annual summer jazz concert series, Jazz Under the Stars. This popular series will be held every Thursday evening at 7:30 pm from June 22 through August 10 on the library's front lawn and plaza. The concert series is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

This series attracts some of the finest jazz performers in the area. The popularity of the series speaks to the top-notch musicianship on display at each performance.

  • June 22—Stuart/Donelian Quartet, featuring Rory Stuart and Armen Donelian
  • June 29—Julien Hucq Quartet
  • July 6—Eddie Allen Quintet
  • July 13—Frank Noviello
  • July 20—Bill Saxton
  • July 27—Sonny Fortune Quartet
  • August 3—Sharp Radway
  • August 10—Calvin Hill Group

The acts in the series are booked by Englewood resident and internationally known bassist Calvin Hill. Hill has recorded and performed for decades with many of the luminaries of jazz, including Max Roach, McCoy Tyner, Pharaoh Sanders, George Coleman and Betty Carter.
