The Beatles Historic Journey
Bruno will examine a chronological account of the lives, works and influence of The Beatles on contemporary society. Bruno will discuss their phenomenal achievements from a musical and cultural perspective. The lecture will be enhanced with visual backgrounds and audio clips. This historic journey starts from their early days as a cover band in Liverpool and Hamburg, into the excitement of Beatlemania, through their creative ground breaking studio albums to the formation of Apple Corps and finally to their remarkable final recordings at Abbey Road Studios. Coming full circle, Mr. Bruno will explore the highlights of each individual’s post Beatles work.
Vincent Bruno recently retired as Director of First Year Programs at LaGuardia Community College, a position he has held since 1990. He holds an MPA from Baruch College and as an Adjunct Professor for the past twenty-five years has taught courses in numerous disciplines including Humanities, Management and Cooperative Education. As a Beatles scholar and storyteller he looks to both embrace not just their legacy but to present an entertaining, interactive and informative session for both the casual listener as well as the hard core Beatles fan.
