Free Park Ridge Concert: Bergen County Executive James Tedesco III, and the Board of Chosen Freeholders invite the public to attend a free music concert featuring the Reggie Pittman-Loren Daniels Quartet on Sunday, September 23, from 4:00 pm- 6:30 pm at the Wortendyke Barn Museum, 13 Pascack Road, Park Ridge.
Seating for this free Park Ridge concert is limited. Feel free to bring a chair or blanket and a picnic. The barn museum will open to visitors at noon before the concert and during intermission.
Reggie Pittman is an outstanding trumpeter with a long career in the world of jazz, R&B and Rock. Reggie has performed with some of the greatest musical luminaries of our time; the partial list is staggering: Sarah Vaughan, Aretha Franklin, Joe Williams, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole, The Allman Brothers, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Lionel Hampton’s Big Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and more. Born in Ohio, but now claimed as a local Bergen County gem, Reggie holds a BA in Music Education and MA in Music Technology.
Loren is a producer/recording artist as well as artist in residence and music coordinator for Jazz Vespers at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Teaneck. Loren has performed with such notable musicians as Milt Jackson, Rufus Reid, Jon Faddis, Warren Batiste, Johnny Maestro, Calvin Hill, Jimmy Owens, Martin Wind, and many more. Loren holds a B.S. in Music in the African American Tradition and Elementary Education and an M.A. in Music Education from NYU.
Reggie Pittman and Loren Daniels musical collaborations include two CD releases containing original compositions by both: 2010’s Point A to Point A and the more recent 2018 Smilessence.
