Psychic High Tea with Craig McManus at the Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus

The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus will host Psychic High Tea with Craig McManus on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 1:00 pm-4;00 pm.

One hundred years ago, Bess and Mary Elizabeth Rosencrantz started the tradition of entertaining travelers in their historic Ho-Ho-Kus home. Aunt Bess and her niece Mary Elizabeth hosted “Tea with Ghosts” during which passersbys would be treated to a light lunch and stories of ghosts who inhabited the old mansion. Newspaper headlines of the day read “Ghost House Becomes a Popular Tea Resort” and the tea became a huge financial success for the Rosencrantz family and continued at the house for over a decade.

One hundred years later, the Hermitage has revived the old tea with a new twist. Instead of talking about the ghosts, you will be talking to them. High Tea will be served buffet style. After the tea, Craig McManus will channel for about two hours, moving around the room to wherever he senses spirits wanting to communicate.

The event will benefit the Hermitage museum. As part of this special fundraiser, you may opt to take a guided tour of the Hermitage Museum, a historic Gothic Revival house and National Landmark, prior to the start of the event.
