Fort Lee Shopping News: Luxury Consignment Boutique Luxe Opens in Main Street Sh

Why do savvy northern New Jersey shoppers love consignment shops? These discount shops are doing brisk business these days in many of the region's downtown districts, including some of New Jersey's more upscale shopping destinations. For many consumers, the 'hunt' for the best price on a coveted designer item is half the fun. For others, the pressure to be seen in the latest fashions, while attempting to get by on a budget, can get a bit daunting, thus leading to the search for the best possible bargains for the latest fashions. For most consignment shoppers, it's simply a matter of knowing that they'll find fashionable clothing and accessories at great prices that motivates them to visit the area's consignment shops and boutiques.

New Consignment Boutique in Fort Lee

The Business District Alliance (BDA) of Fort Lee, a non-profit organization, working in partnership with the Borough of Fort Lee to revitalize and promote the Main Street Shopping Corridor, recently welcomed a new luxury consignment boutique to the Fort Lee business community. Boutique Luxe, owned and operated by Fort Lee resident Jinhee Park, specializes in designer label fashions. Boutique Luxe’s inventory boasts high-end men’s and women’s apparel including jewelry, timepieces, handbags, shoes and accessories. Ms. Park has worked with luxury apparel for over 12 years—first selling handbags online, opening her first store in Queens in 2012 and finally expanding to Boutique Luxe in February.

“There are handbags in Fort Lee?” said Danielle DelGaudio, a personal stylist who happened upon Boutique Luxe at the ribbon cutting. “I saw the Chanel handbag in the window and almost crashed my car,” the stylist said while appraising the lavish distraction. “We need a store like this in Fort Lee.”

The Real Deal: No Imitations

Jinhee Park is explicit in merchandising authentic attire only. Ms Park’s extensive experience authenticating luxury apparel allows her to make the distinction and educate customers on spotting replicas and imitations, especially when wallets, handbags, jewelry and shoes are some of the most costly counterfeited categories online. “Many people don’t know how to spot fakes and I like teaching them how to. It’s fun for me,” Ms Park said.

Fort Lee BDA Welcomes Addition to Main Street Shopping Corridor

“This is a great addition to Main Street,” said BDA Executive Director Stuart Z. Koperweis. “A lot of Fort Lee residents are looking to shop for high-end brands and Ms. Park’s selection really rounds out what our borough has to offer.”

Luxe is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am-6:00 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 am-5:00 pm. Located on the first floor of 200 Main Street, you can reach Boutique Luxe by phone at 201-774-5566.
