This Bergen County historic landmark has developed a unique partnership with Chuck & Laura Adams, proprietors of Take Away Gourmet (www.takeawaygourmet.com) , located in Waldwick, New Jersey. Passionate and skilled with just the right personal touches, along with inventive and flavorful food, this dynamic duo has created memorable events, including bar or bat mitzvahs, weddings, and anniversary dinners at The Hermitage’s Jaqua Hall.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, Chef Adams was a freelance chef and food stylist on The Food Network. He then presided over the multi-million dollar catering operations of Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, producing sumptuous events in New York City and The Hamptons. As Executive Chef at Canard, Inc. he created gastronomic pleasures for parties of 6 to 2,000 guests. His vast list of discerning clients include celebrities, Wall Streeters, and many corporate clients, including Armani, Juilliard School of Music, Tiffany’s, Johnson & Johnson, Prestige Motors, and Bloomingdales.

Chef Adams’ success is derived from his hands-on management style – working side-by-side with his staff -- and his passion, curiosity, and desire to take ordinary food beyond its limits. He believes the three essential ingredients to a successful event are great food, continuous communication, and focused attention to detail.
