The 12th Annual Taste of Paramus will be held at The Terrace at Biagio’s, 299 Paramus Road, New Jersey on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
At Oceanos Oyster Bar & Sea Grill, culinary tradition and contemporary design merge to create a unique Bergen County seafood bistro.
The sleek dining room and bar present a mood that is both exciting and soothing, with natural materials and a chocolate brown, slate blue and ivory color scheme that make the rooms elegant and timeless.
To create the menu, the restaurant's owners, the Panteleakis family, have drawn on their Mediterranean heritage for cuisine that is centered on the sea. Top-quality ingredients are treated to time-honored cooking techniques.
Fish is hand-selected each morning at the market, the olives and olive oil are from the family's own groves in Greece, and the rustic bread is baked fresh each day in the restaurant’s kitchen.
Executive Chef Peter Panteleakis brings over 40 years of culinary experience to the Oceanos kitchen. Charming, gracious and hospitable, he lives by this quote: "We want you to feel as comfortable here at Oceanos as you are in your own home — and not in a restaurant."
The chef's day begins well before dawn, when he visits the Fulton Fish Market to personally choose all the seafood on Oceanos' menu. When he returns to his kitchen, he bakes the bread, which when served at your table, is your first clue that your lunch or dinner at Oceanos will be a spectacular one.
To that end, the chef has carefully trained his cooks to follow his exacting standards. The sesame salmon with raspberry beurre blanc served with vegetable arborio pilaf, or the arctic char with grilled lime and ginger beurre blanc served with roasted lemon potatoes, are excellent examples of the standout entrees that have helped to establish this Fair Lawn restaurant's reputation as one of North Jersey's top seafood spots.
In addition to the impressive seafood menu, Oceano also offers boneless pork tenderloin, double cut prime lamb chops, and a 10 ounce prime filet mignon with grilled portobello mushroom cap and crispy pancetta topped with a lavender peppercorn cabernet demi sauce.
Oceanos features an impressive selection of wines and a dessert menu with a variety of Mediterranean treats.
