Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre

Bergen Community College

For the second consecutive year, more students graduated with associate degrees and certificates from Bergen Community College than any other institution of higher education in the state, according to data compiled by Community College Week.  Bergen Community College enrolls nearly 17,000 students in its academic degree programs. The College has locations in Paramus (main campus), Hackensack (Ciarco Learning Center) and Lyndhurst (Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands). Bergen County Zoo

The Bergen County Zoo, an accredited member of The Association of Zoos and Aquariums, is located within the Paramus area of Van Saun Park. The Cliff Gennarelli Paramus Sports Complex

Located at Paramus Road and Garden State Plaza Boulevard, this popular Paramus recreation facility features lighted baseball, little league, softball, soccer, football, basketball and tennis facilities. Firemen’s Park

The Paramus Fire Dept is a volunteer dept that is made up of four fire companies and a total of 130 members. These companies are on call around the clock 365 days. Firemen’s Park is a monument park area at the intersection of Forest Avenue and Spring Valley Road in Paramus dedicated to the Paramus Volunteer Fire Department.

Fritz Behnke Historical Museum

The Fritz Behnke Historical Museum, located on Paramus Road in Paramus, is named after Fritz Behnke, who was born in Paramus in 1919. The Behnke family has lived in Paramus since 1886, and Fritz grew up on his family’s vegetable farm until it was sold in 1951. At that time, Fritz and his brothers Walter and Donald opened Behnke’s Paramus Building Supply on Route 17 at Century Road. For many years, Fritz was the official Historian of Paramus, and was the driving force behind the creation of the museum. Saddle River County Park Dunkerhook Area

One of Bergen County’s most popular recreation areas for joggers, cyclists and walkers, Saddle River County Park actually consists of five park areas that are linked by a multi-use path. The Dunkerhook area in Paramus and Fair Lawn is home to the Easton Tower, a Bergen County historic site. Just past the tower is an area with an all-purpose athletic field and an open area.
