The Park Ridge Rotary Club and Halfway Hounds, a Park Ridge based canine shelter organization, are jointly sponsoring the Sixth Annual 5K Run/Walk with Dogs on Sunday, September 16th, rain or shine, at the Park Ridge Municipal Pool. The event starts at 10:00, registration begins at 9:00 am.
Maria Milito of radio’s Q104.3 will be back to emcee this fun-filled community-wide event. Participants and spectators alike will enjoy music, free stretching provided by Montvale Spine and Health Center, light refreshments and much more.
The non-refundable “early bird” entry fee is $19 before August 22nd, thereafter it is $25, and day-of-event fee is $35. The fee for children ages 6-17 is $15, and children under 5 are free. Runners/walkers that pre-register by August 28th will get a tee shirt. Get registration information or register on-line.
Packets can be picked up on Thursday, September 13th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Friday, September 14th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at Kearny Bank, 653 Westwood Avenue, River Vale, or beginning at 9:00 am at the Municipal Pool, 120 Colony Ave, Park Ridge on race day. Medals will be awarded for first, second and third place men/women in the following categories: under 14, ages 15 to 18, ages 19 to 29, ages 30 to 39, ages 40 to 49, ages 50 to 59, ages 60 to 69, and ages 70 and over. In the team competition, awards will be presented to the top 3 teams.
