The Academy of the Holy Angels will hold an online auction Friday, June 12th through Saturday, June 20th. Proceeds from this age 21+ event will benefit the Academy of the Holy Angels’ Tuition Assistance Fund, which was established to aid AHA families who are facing health issues, job loss, and economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Register for the auction and preview the exciting prizes donated by local vendors and members of the AHA community. Offerings include a retro bicycle, jewelry, tutoring services, hotel stays, designer handbags, gift baskets, a golf outing, a personalized parking space at Holy Angels, and more. Participants may also donate directly to the Tuition Assistance Fund.
Bidding will be conducted online and can easily be done on cell phones or tablets. Bids will be accepted from 6:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020 until noon on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Winners will receive their prizes at a curbside pickup at Holy Angels, 315 Hillside Avenue in Demarest.
“This is the first time we are doing a virtual auction and we are excited to be able to make the opportunity available to members of our AHA community who can participate remotely, from the comfort and safety of their homes, all for the benefit of AHA,” said AHA Events Coordinator Barbara Burklund. “Our goal is that no Angel’s educational journey should be disrupted by unexpected unemployment or financial downturns.”
AHA’s main fundraiser, Angelic Evening, which was scheduled for late March, was canceled due to coronavirus concerns. Many individuals who had donated prizes to support this event enthusiastically offered their donations toward Angel Aid in response to the current need. The next Angelic Evening is slated for March 19, 2021 at The Edgewood Country Club.
