Paramus Motorcycle Shop Takes First Prize at Ultimate Builder Bike Show in NYC

Speakeasy Motors of Paramus, New Jersey took first place in the Modified Street Class at the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show at the International Motorcycle Show in the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

The event was held from January 18th through the 20th, and is one of the biggest motorcycle shows in the country.

“All my hard work has finally paid off”, said Evan Favaro, owner of Speakeasy Motors. “This is the first major milestone of my career and I can’t wait to see what comes next."

It was Speakeasy Motors’ 1978 Yamaha XS650 with a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 750 front end, custom made neck and axle, modified hub, fully rebuilt motor, hand fabricated tail and tank from scratch that took the top prize. All fabrication, powder coating, and assembly was done in-house. Bob Folz of Toon Town Paint and Bert Quimby of Bert Graphix also participated in the winning effort.
