A Celebration of Garfield’s Brigati Brothers at the Cutting Room

If you missed the fabulous sold-out show at HACPAC in Hackensack back in April, here’s another chance to catch the incredible tribute to Garfield, NJ natives Eddie and David Brigati.

The Rockit Live Foundation proudly presents “A Celebration of Garfield’s Brigati Brothers,” a special event honoring the musical legacy of Eddie and David Brigati.

The Cutting Room will be the venue for “A Celebration of Garfield’s Brigati Brothers” on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm. This special afternoon will celebrate the extraordinary careers of Eddie and David Brigati, who are natives of Bergen County and achieved great success in the music industry, earning them legendary status.

The Rockit Live Foundation is hosting this event to celebrate the Brigati brothers’ musical legacy. The event features performances by the young talents from the Rockit Academy and pays homage to Eddie and David Brigati’s careers and their roots in Bergen County. The event highlights the ongoing impact of their music and the community that supported their rise to stardom. The foundation provides scholarships and music education, continuing the Brigatis’ tradition of nurturing the next generation of artists.

Eddie Brigati, a celebrated vocalist and one of the main songwriters behind most of The Rascals’ hits, has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Rascals were one of the great bands of the 1960s and early 70s, famous for their exceptional songwriting, soulful vocals, and outstanding musicianship. From 1965 to 1972, their high-energy and often innovative recordings reflected the band’s passion for R&B, soul, jazz, rock, vocal groups and other musical influences. Hits such as “Good Lovin’,” “It’s a Beautiful Morning,” “People Got to Be Free,” and “How Can I Be Sure” (featuring Eddie Brigati on lead vocals) dominated the top of the charts during the heyday of The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, and The Rolling Stones and are now considered classics.

David Brigati, Eddie’s older brother had his first taste of success as a group harmony singer and arranger with the Hi-Fives in the late 1950s. His long tenure with Joey Dee and the Starliters, along with his significant vocal contributions to The Rascals’ hits, showcases the musical innovation, evolution, integrity, and joy that both Brigati brothers brought to the industry.
