On Friday, January 17, 2024, join Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Marky Ramone, the iconic drummer of The Ramones, for a memorable evening to benefit New Jersey adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
This charitable event will support New Concepts for Living (NCFL), a leading provider of comprehensive services for adults with I/DD in Paramus, New Jersey. Marky Ramone, a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award recipient and one of the last surviving members of The Ramones, will host a live drumming demonstration and Q&A session. The event was inspired by his longtime manager and friend, Harvey Leeds, whose daughter participates in NCFL programs and lives with Rett Syndrome. Leeds, known for his work with legendary artists like Pearl Jam, Gloria Estefan, and Cyndi Lauper, has been a dedicated advocate for the cause. Taking place at NCFL’s new, state-of-the-art Achievement Center in Paramus, this special evening includes:
- A live drumming demonstration by Marky Ramone.
- Viewing of rare videos and photos from Marky’s private collection.
- An exclusive Q&A session with the rock legend.
- A charity auction featuring signed drumsticks, original drum head art created by Marky, and a personal studio session at Marky’s New York studio, where the winner will receive a drumming lesson covering everything from Ramones classics to swing and jazz.
