Historic Concrete House Tour AND a Lustron

June 2, 2024 @ 1:00 pm-5:00 pm

$30
Why did the NY Times call Haworth a “concrete town” in 1907? Learn the answer on a historical house tour sponsored by the Friends of the Haworth Library, Sunday, June 2, 1-5 PM…featuring 6 of Haworth’s early “concrete houses,” PLUS the all-metal Lustron house in Closter. Cause who the heck would build houses out of this stuff?!?
Self-guided tour, visit the houses in any order. Showing downstairs only, and, yes, you’ll need to take your shoes off. $30, benefiting the Friends of the Library. We’ll take your money and your name, and on June 2, you’ll pick up the one-piece brochure/map/ticket at the Haworth Library. Register at haworthlibrary.org.   Pay at the library with cash or check, or paypal at haworthlibrary.org, or venmo @haworthfriends.
