The Garden Club of Harrington Park will welcome Chris Raimondi as their guest speaker on Thursday May 7, 2015 at 7:30 pm at the Harrington Park Library, 10 Herring Street, Harrington Park, New Jersey. Chris will present "Adding Tropical Color to Your Seasonal Plantings", a look at how color and structure can bring a festive tropical feel to your garden.
In recent years we've seen more and more succulents and cacti used in planters. Chris will show how tropical plants can be incorporated into the garden landscape with their hot colors and their unusual shapes and textures. The exotic brightly colored flowers, large broad leaves, and lush green foliage of the these plants added to a patio pot can make for a stunning accent simply by growing one tropical flower per large container, and adding colorful annuals around the base. He'll explain designing with tropics along with caring for these beauties.
The outdoor garden season is just beginning and Mr. Raimondi will be planting some new ideas gardeners can use to accomplish the look of one of the hot trends in gardening.
