JDK Social Station Summer Camps

JDK Social Station in Secaucus, New Jersey, is a specialized multi-sensory teaching facility that enhances the social and living skills of children with social deficits and other related issues.

Summer camps at JDK Social Station for children ages 3-15 run from July 31-August 25  and focus on supporting positive social interactions among campers. Camp is taught by certified ABA instructors with experience and ongoing training in teaching social skills.

Each week of camp offers a different theme based on building social skills and peer interactions, all while having fun!

Enroll for a few weeks, a few days, or the entire month. Full-day and part-day options are available, as well as before and aftercare.

Exciting Camp Themes and Activities

The Great Outdoors: July 31-August 4

Campers learn about trees, birds, butterflies, and more. Enjoy outdoor fun and scientific exploring. Sit around the campfire, sing songs, and have a little social s’mores cookout.

Social Skills: Interactive social stories, asking others to play, joining in, understanding the rules of a game, dealing with winning and losing.

Dino-mite Dinosaurs: August 7-August 11

Campers travel back in time and dig for dinosaurs, rocks and minerals using magnifying glasses and become cooperative paleontologists working together to learn how to share and take turns.

Social Skills: Interpersonal/friendship, getting attention in a positive way, and sharing with your friends.

JDK Chefs: August 14-August 18

Campers become chefs and prepare snacks while learning that cooking can be creative, full of discovery, and fun! Imaginations are free to run wild as children discover how science, math, and reading all play a part in cooking.

Social Skills: Manners, setting tables, respecting one another, personal space, waiting, orienting to others.

Celebration Week: August 21-August 25

Campers celebrate a different holiday each day, including Birthday Day, Halloween, Winter Holiday Day, and others. The week ends with a talent show where everyone gets a chance to perform!

Social Skills: Manners, dressing up, what to do at a party, trick or treating practice, respecting one another, personal space, waiting, more.
