New Jersey Wind Symphony Concert

New Jersey Wind Symphony Concert: The New Jersey Wind Symphony (formerly Ridgewood Concert Band) will present a “Taste of Tanglewood” concert on Friday, February 8th beginning at 7:30 pm. The concert will take place at West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 S. Monroe Street, Ridgewood, New Jersey.

New York Philharmonic principal trumpet player Christopher Martin and pianist Ron Levy will join the New Jersey Wind Symphony for an evening of music by Bernstein, Copland, Gershwin, and more.  Mr. Martin’s performance will include John Williams’ “With Malice Towards None” from the film score of “Lincoln”.  Mr. Martin was the featured performer on the original soundtrack for the film. Pianist Ron Levy will perform George Gerswhin’s Concerto in F.  The concert will open at 7:30 pm with a prelude performance by the Midland Park High School Wind Ensemble under the direction of Mr. David Marks.  The New Jersey Wind Symphony under the baton of Dr. Christian Wilhjelm will take the stage at 8:00 pm.
