NVE Bank Grants $2,000 Scholarships to Bergen County Students

NVE Bank Grants Scholarships: NVE Bank awarded $2,000 scholarships to eleven area high school seniors at a reception hosted by the bank at its Englewood headquarters on June 18, 2019. The scholarships are part of a program that has been offered by NVE for the past twelve years, and extends to area middle schools, where seven graduating 8^th grade students were selected to receive a $1,000 Savings Product Scholarship. Since the inception of the program, NVE Bank has awarded over $180,000 to 240 deserving scholars in Bergen County.

NVE President and CEO Robert Rey presented the students with their scholarships at the reception which was attended by NVE executives, members of the bank’s board of directors, school officials and student family members. “As a mutual bank, our focus is always on putting our customers and communities first. “Reinvesting our financial and personal resources to make a difference in the towns we serve is simply the right thing to do and our scholarship program is emblematic of that mission. All of us at NVE salute our 2019 recipients and wish them well as they pursue their educational goals,” said Rey.

High School recipients included Isabelle Raskin – Leonia High School; Ryan Distell and Dylan Distell – Cresskill High School; Julye Calderon – Pascack Valley High School; Gianna Tavares – Northern Valley Demarest Regional High School; Jessica Lee – Academies at Englewood; Madisen McIntyre – Dwight Morrow High School; Victoria Catala – Bergenfield High School; Aisha Davis – New Milford High School; Yanil Morales Garcia – Teaneck High School and Jade Greer – Tenafly High School.

Middle School recipients included Melanie Norberto – Benjamin Franklin Middle School; Peter Park – Cresskill Middle School; Hasnia Mulic – Thomas Jefferson Middle School; Raul Tylrt Seetahal – Janis Dismus Middle School; Yun Lee Park – Leonia Middle School; Esther Cho – David Owens Middle School; Margaret Vasquez – Roy Brown Middle School.
