Join the Bergen County Audubon Society and Teaneck Creek Conservancy for a nature walk at Teaneck Creek, perfect for birders and nature lovers alike! Discover the variety of birds migrating south, along with local plants and wildlife. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned birder, all are welcome, and guides will assist with bird identification. BCAS hosts two walks monthly as part of TCC’s free public programs. Meet at 20 Puffin Way; the walk starts at 10:00 am and wraps up around noon.

Wreath-Making Workshop at NJ Botanical Garden: Saturday, November 23, at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
Celebrate the season with NJBG’s annual wreath-making workshop! Learn to create beautiful, custom-decorated wreaths using fresh and dried materials. As you craft, you’ll design a wreath to take home, perfect for adding holiday cheer to any space. Materials are provided, though you’re welcome to bring clippers and any special ribbons or decorations you’d like to personalize your creation.
There are two sessions to choose from, 10:00 am or 1:00 pm. The workshop fee is $25 and reservation are required. Find more information and make your reservation here. The NJ Botanical Garden is located a short distance from Bergen County on Morris Road in Ringwood, New Jersey.
Retreat Weekend at Fort Lee Historic Park: Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24
In remembrance of the 1776 British invasion of New Jersey and the start of the Continental Army’s famous “Retreat to Victory,” Fort Lee Historic Park will host its annual Retreat Weekend on Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24. This event brings history to life with reenactments of 18th-century life, as well as period demonstrations. It’s a unique opportunity to step back in time and witness the pivotal moments of the American Revolution.
Retreat Weekend Schedule:
- Saturday, November 23, 10:00 am-5:00 pm, features music, cooking and artillery demos, a parade to Monument Park at noon, and more.
- Sunday, November 24, 2:00 pm-5:00 pm, features artillery demos.

The Show features over 100 talented crafters with a wide variety of handmade items, perfect for holiday gifts or decorating your home. Find unique creations, such as handmade jewelry, candles, soaps, clothing, home décor, fancy baked goods, chocolate, original paintings, pottery, ceramics, resin art, crocheted and knitted items, on-the-spot laser-engraved gifts, dog treats and accessories, holiday items, including ornaments, wreaths, and lighted Christmas trees, and much more!
The show is held completely indoors so you can shop in comfort without worries about the weather. There is plenty of free parking and an on-site snack bar serving breakfast, lunch and snacks. And there will be photo ops with Santa too!

Get ready for the holidays with the Garden Club of Harrington Park’s “Holiday Make-It-&-Take-It” workshop, hosted by Gerri Gibney, Garden Club President. On Thursday, December 5th at 7:30 pm in the Harrington Park Library, Gerri will show how to craft beautiful holiday centerpieces, wreaths, and swags using greens from your own garden. Learn about the popular “Colonial Williamsburg” style, featuring fruits, vegetables, foliage, herbs, and dried flowers.
The Garden Club will provide essentials like plastic containers for centerpieces, fresh greens, and floral foam. Bring your own favorite container, fruits, ribbons, adornments, or extra greens from your garden to personalize your creation. Don’t forget pruners, gardening gloves, and if you’re making a wreath, three coat hangers.

Wayne PAL Antique & Collectibles Show and Vintage Flea Market: Sunday, December 8, 9:00 am-2:30 pm
Come out to one of the biggest antique and collectibles shows in New Jersey! Browse and shop over 150 vendor tables filled with a huge variety of antique, vintage, and collectible items, including vintage and sterling jewelry, vintage glassware and Lenox, vintage toys and trains, antique and collectible dolls, action figures, vintage postcards, photos, artwork, sports, political and military memorabilia, vintage coins and watches, and much more!
