Mybergen.com is a Sponsor of Sunday’s Franklin Lakes Walk to Raise Funds for Diabetes Research and Education

The American Diabetes Association has kicked off its annual Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes campaign in New Jersey. The ADA aims to raise $660,000 and recruit more than 3,000 people to participate in three walks in the state.

The annual Step Out campaign raises funds for type 1 and type 2 diabetes research and education. Today, nearly 26 million Americans have diabetes. If present trends continue, one in three Americans born in 2000 or later will develop diabetes in their lifetime.

The 2011 NJ walks will be held on October 2nd at the BD Campus in Franklin Lakes; on October 23rd at Princeton Forrestal Village; and on October 29th at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. Registration for the Franklin Lakes walk begins at 8:30 and the walk starts at 10:00 am.

Major sponsors of the annual NJ Step Out campaign include Novo Nordisk, BD, and Walgreens. Mybergen.com is a media sponsor of the event.
